Hockey is can be a scary game, accidents happen and sometimes life threatening injuries take place. We're seeing more and more incidents happen.
The latest event seem happened in the NCAA on Thursday night after Army Black Knights after forward Eric Huss was cut by a skate in the second period against the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
After a scary scene on the ice, it appears that Huss is going to be okay after quick thinking by one of their trainers Rachel Leahy. He was then transported to hospital where he had surgery.
Huss had this to say regarding the incident:
can't say enough good things about our AT Rachel she truly saved my life last night.
Huss was able to return to his team after spending Thursday night in the hospital recovering.
This is why it's super important to have good training staff on your hockey team, Leahy's quick response is the reason Huss was able to not only get to the hospital.
this is another reason why hockey players are as tough as they come, a day after this gruesome injury he was back with his teammates.
