Alex Ovechkin names his dream linemate if played with Sidney Crosby, and the name may surprise you
Alexander Ovechkin continues on his campaign this season to break Wayne Gretzky's record as he's still third all-time in goals scored in the NHL.
However, the Gr8 one was asked a question about who'd he like to share a line with if his rival
Sidney Crosby was Centering him.
This is an interesting "what-if scenario" as both players are elite, and both Stanley Cup winners.
Ovechkin mentioned former Enforcer Donald Brashear, as a dream linemate for Crosby and himself.
Ovi mentioned the fact that Sidney and himself would need protection in the NHL. This isn't far-fetched given Sidney Crosby's concussion history as a result of illegal hits to the center.
Crosby has missed 114 games in his career due to concussion-related injuries. The bulk of the missed games came in 2011 and 2012, during his prime. Crosby missed 48 games in the 2010-11 season and 20 games at the start of the 2011-12 season.
Just imagine how dynamite a line would be with two goal scorer combined for over 1,000+ goals in the NHL and an enforcer who fought everyone including Bob Probert in his prime.
