When Alex Ovechkin broke into the NHL, he did so with a patented tinted visor. The visor became very popular with fans and young players who loved the look of the tint. This weekend at the All Star Game, Ovechkin revealed which Hall of Fame goalie was an integral part of getting the visor banned.
Ovechkin also shared he'd love to see the visors brought back, but even without the tint Ovi has gone on to a legendary career. It's odd that Brodeur was worried about seeing Ovechkin's eyes, when you know he's standing at the right circle.
