Anaheim Ducks announce the sudden passing of former player
After a summer filled with tough news from the hockey world, many fans are looking forward to the NHL season. Unfortunately today we received even more bad news. The Anaheim Ducks have announced the passing of former player Nicolas Kerdiles.
We're heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles, who died in a motorcycle accident this morning. An Irvine native, Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks, in 2017. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.
Kerdiles was drafted by the Ducks in the 2nd round (36th overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft. Kerdiles only ever played 3 games with the franchise before retiring in 2019.
Our thoughts and prayers go out too the Kerdiles family and anyone impacted by his passing.
