Many hockey fans and Hockey Insiders have come to the heart breaking conclusion that Price's career is likely over. Price has been dealing with chronic knee issues since 2014. his initial injury occured during the Eastern Conference Finals, when New York Rangers' forward, Chris Krieder crashed into Price knocking him out of the playoffs.
Since then Price has had multiple surgeries to try and repair his knee, but Price has never been able to properly heal his knee since.
This week, Carey Price's wife Angela took to social media and asked her followers on Instagram to talk to fans and tried to answer some of the questions fans have been asking.
Angela Price's response didn't comfort many fans as she made it clear that Price could possibly be finished, but they're not giving up hope of his possible return.
When asked if Carey and family would remain in Montreal or their other home they are building in Kelowna. Angela confirmed that Price plans to spend the entire year in Montreal regardless of whether or not he plays.
Angela also revealed that if or when Carey officially retires the family will fully return to Kelowna to be closer to Carey's family in Anahim Lake BC.
If Carey's career is indeed over it will be disappointing because he wasn't able to win a Stanley Cup in Montreal. Not for the lack of effort by Price, as he's carried the team on his back since being drafted 5th overall in 2005 this was more the lack of management not being able to build a team around arguably the best goaltender if this generation.
