Avalanche and Lightning absolutely shatter ticket price record for Stanley Cup Finals
The Stanley Cup Finals are one of the toughest tickets in sports for fans to get their hands on. The prices for these tickets are always elevated above standard prices. Now with the Lightning and Avalanche set to meet in the Cup Finals, it appears the market for these tickets has absolutely erupted.
Ticket IQ has provided the following data on this year's Stanley Cup Finals tickets on the secondary market.
According to Ticket IQ the average price for a ticket for the Lightning and Avalanche series is $2,826 on the secondary market. This surpasses the 2018 Finals between the Golden Knights and Capitals, which had an average price of $2,190.
That's not the only record that's been broken though, as the Colorado Avalanche have officially blown away every other team with the highest average price for any team on the Finals.
The average price for the Avs are $3,059 which is a whopping 39% higher than fans paid last year in Tampa Bay.
