The Colorado Avalanche won game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final quite handedly running up the score 7-0 on the Tampa Bay Lightning. They did not however leave the game unscathed as they lost forward Andre Burakovsky right after he blocked a pass during the second period on Saturday night.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, although Burakovsky is still being evaluated by team doctors, he will travel to Tampa Bay to be with the team during game 3 tonight.
Burakovsky, 27, has had a good run in the post season this year, tallying 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points in 12 playoff games.
For the Avs sake, let's hope his injury isn't too serious or it would be a huge blow to their depth forwards. The Avs are already without forward Nazem Kadri, who is considered day to day.
