Nazem Kadri joined the Colorado Avalanche on the plane to Tampa Bay
Colorado Avalanche forward, Nazem Kadri is travelling with the team to Tampa Bay. But according to Head Coach, Jared Bednar, he is still considered day-to-day.
Bednar is hopeful Kadri will return this series, but wouldn't say whether that could be in Game 3 or 4. Kadri skated alone for the third consecutive day on Saturday. The forward is still recovering from thumb surgery after he was injured in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final. Kadri was hit from behind by Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane and went into the boards with some force.
Prior to his injury, Kadri had scored
six goals and fourteen points in thirteen games. With Naz still not participating in team practice sessions it's doubtful he will play in Game 3 on Monday night.
Tampa need to find a way to deal with Colorado's speed and pressure or the Avs could be hoisting the cup as early as Wednesday night.
This is Kadri's first time in the finals, as a fan you'd love to see him get in a game. If Colorado can win Game 3 maybe Bednar can pull a 2020 Stamkos and let Kadri play a few shifts in Game 4.
