Boston Bruins expected to make major announcement in the very near future
The Boston Bruins smashed the record for the best regular season in NHL history this season. Unfortunately for the Bruins that regular season success didn't translate to the playoffs, seeing the Bruins lose in the first round to the eventual Cup Finalists, the Florida Panthers.
Unlike most teams who have such regular season success, hopes aren't high in Boston for next season. With the NHL salary cap only rising by $1,000,000 the Bruins find themselves in cap hell. But even worse the Bruins find themselves in a situation where it appears the team's top 2 centers won't be returning next season.
According to multiple reports it now appears the team is preparing for the retirement of both Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci.

Due to performance bonuses the Bruins currently have only 15 players under contract for next year and less than $5,000,000 to fill out their roster. This could lead to big changes next season in Boston.
