Brad Marchand Trolls Connor Bedard during the Hawks second game of the season
Captain Brad Marchand had a brief exchange with a reporter before puck drop between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks. Marchand was asked if he had any advice for the hyped rookie Connor Bedard.
Marchand: "No, I don't."
Reporter: What are you gonna say to him?
Marchand: "Nothing. He's a great player. You leave a guy like that alone."
Reporter: You came into the league as a relatively smaller guy, he's a relatively smaller guy-
Marchand: "I'm bigger than him."
Chicago got on the board first thanks Bedard getting the first of his career. Marchand thought it was a good opportunity to try and get the youngster off his game by attempting to bring him into the Bruins' bench.
Boston left the rink smiling, taking the two points in a 3-1 Bruins victory.
The 35 year old Marchand is playing in his 16th NHL season, we have come to expect the antics and the rat never fails to disappoint.
