After weeks of reports that the New York Islanders and Nazem Kadri had a deal in place, it appears Lou Lamoriello has lost out on another major free agent. According to Kevin Weekes, Nazem Kadri has signed a contract instead with the Calgary Flames.

There have been multiple reports that Kadri's deal will be in the neighborhood of 7 years and $7,500,000 per season, but nothing has been confirmed at this point.
This signing has since been confirmed by Elliotte Friedman.
After being injured by Evander Kane in the playoffs it appears Kadri will get 5 chances a season to draw some retribution.
