Tyson Jost is getting another fresh start and hopefully this time he's able to make the most of the opportunity. Last season Jost was traded from the Colorado Avalanche to the Minnesota Wild, and Jost hoped he'd have an opportunity to be an everyday player. Unfortunately things haven't quite worked out that way.
After only 33 games over 2 seasons, Wild General Manager, Bill Guerin decided he'd seen enough. Yesterday it was announced that the Wild had placed Jost on waivers. Jost is in the final year of his contract paying him $2,000,000 per season so it was questionable whether or not he'd be claimed.
At today's 2 pm deadline it was announced that the Buffalo Sabres decided to use their cap space to give Jost another opportunity.
Jost joins a Buffalo Sabres team who works hard and is looking to take some of their final steps in their rebuild. Will Jost finally find a spot in the lineup or will this just be another stop on his NHL journey?
