Brendan Gallagher injured after brutal fall into the boards (Video)
Montreal Canadiens fans are holding their breath after Brendan Gallagher left the game with what appears to be a serious injury. As Gallagher chased a loose puck, a discarded stock got caught in his skates. As he tried to slow down, Gallagher crashed hard into the end boards.
Gallagher was slow to get up and skated very gingerly to the bench. Gallagher tried to take another shift, but immediately pulled up and left the game. Gallagher has not returned.
Hopefully for Gallagher's sake his injury is not serious, but it did not look good. This unlucky incident was preventable if the the broken stick hadn't have been discarded in front of the net.
