Cale Makar claims upset Predators fans threw items at the Avalanche players
The salt never tasted so sweet for Cale Makar and the Colorado Avalanche as they swept the Nashville Predators in four games. But the Predators' fans didn't take it well, as according to Makar, Preds' fans decided to throw Skittles at the Avs' players during the last minute of the game.
Unlike the fans, Roman Josi knows to respect his opponents. Josi has shown the Avalanche's Defenseman admiration, as they're both Norris Trophy candidates this year:
"He's such a fun player to watch. He's so dynamic. ... I love watching him play.
Makar wasn't taking it personally, albeit understood the fan's frustration and complimented their passion.
Cale Makar continued his dominant play this year, by notching 3 goals and 7 assists, in 4 games against the Preds, which stats-wise was the most in NHL history.
The 23-year-old from Calgary is averaging 1.05 goals per game over 39 career playoff appearances, which at the moment puts him second all-time among NHL defensemen, trailing only Bobby Orr (1.24 over 74 postseason games).
