Camera Catches Brady And Matthew In Heated Exchange
The Tkachuk brothers were in the center of the chaos that escalated between the between the Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators on Monday night.
At the end of the second period Matthew Tkachuk hit Senators defenceman Travis Hamonic which set off a melee, even Senators goaltender Joonas Korpisalo got in Matthew's face. Both Hamonic and Tkachuk received two minutes each for roughing, with Matthew getting an extra two for unsportsmanlike conduct.
During the third period, Matthew checked Hamonic and was jumped from behind by Ottawa's Zach MacEwen, earned a match penalty and was booted from the game for a headshot against the Panthers' star-pest early in the third.
As things were being sorted out from the previous play, Brady, seated on the bench, exchanged some choice words with his older brother.
Matthew: Sanderson, you're dead. You're dead.
Brady: No. Nope. Then Barky. Barky.
Matthew: Dead.
In the end it was a 5-0 blowout win for the Panthers with over 160 penalty minutes given for the extra cultural activities.
It might take a while for father Keith and grandma Geraldine to calm the brothers down after this one.
