Chicago Blackhawks already shopping two forwards, not named Toews and Kane
The Chicago Blackhawks sit in last place in the Central division with just six wins in nineteen games. As the season progresses, look for trade rumors to surround the team involving stars Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. NHL Insider Fran Seravelli believes that Max Domi and Andreas Athanasiou will be moved at the trade deadline as well. Both forwards are on expiring contracts after this season. Both forwards earn $3 million dollars this season.

It makes sense that the Blackhawks would deal these two forwards. They are in the early stages of a rebuild and are looking for future assets in exchange for these veteran forwards. Chicago is not winning with these two forward in the lineup anyways and other NHL clubs will be looking for scoring depth in the playoffs so a trade seems imminent.
Domi was moved at last years trade deadline when he was traded to Carolina. In fourteen playoff games for Carolina, Domi had three goals and three assists. Anthanasiou had one goal in six playoff games with Los Angeles. As the trade deadline gets closer, look for the Chicago Blackhawks to be very active around trade deadline time.
