Legendary NHL goalies comes to Carey Price's defense after fan attacks his sobriety
The internet has made many things more accessible to the average fan. But it has also created a culture that allows people to say things without repercussions. This often leads to individuals making comments that they would never consider making in person.
That's exactly what one Twitter user recently did when he decided to bring up Cary Price's battle with sobriety while discussing the Canadiens' goaltender.
After the post went up it was universally criticized by almost everyone, which is likely the reaction the original poster wanted. Then an unlikely NHL Hall of Famer came to Price's defense.
Grant Fuhr is a Hall of Fame goalie, who was a key part of the Edmonton Oilers dynasty during their glory years He captured multiple Stanley cups and many other accolades over his career. Fuhr felt the need to shut down the Twitter user in what ended up being a heated exchange between the two.
The Twitter user clearly doesn't care about anything other than clout at this point. But it's great to see the union of NHL goalies coming together to protect one another, especially when that union is across multiple generations.
