The Spengler Cup is one of the biggest tournaments to occur every year for players outside of the NHL. This European staple features multiple European champions and one team of Canadian imports. The annual tournament is a hotly contested affair that fans of the area love to watch.
Today however, during a tournament game featuring HC Davos an incident occurred which has captured the headlines for all the wrong reasons. During today's game head coach Josh Holden confronted Tomas Jurco at the end of a disappointing period. In the exchange though Holden aggressively grabs hold of Jurco's collar.
Jurco can be seen attempting to elbow Holden away as things appear to grow close to escalating.
According to Steven Ellis who is covering the tournament, this is Jurco's final game with HC Davos as he will be joining the KHL's Avangard Omsk after the Spenlger Cups conclusion. This incident has been hotly debated, but what do you think?
