Today Seravalli also revealed that the Colorado Avalanche still have an offer on the table for Kadri to consider. Obviously due to salary constraints the Avalanche are unable to offer the same cap hit as the Islander, but they're reportedly also unwilling to offer the same term.
This deal from Kadri would keep him in Colorado and give him another shot at winning another Stanley Cup, while the offer from the Islanders comes with a lot of question marks around their aging team. Are the Islanders a playoff team or was last year a preview of their collapse? There is definitely money available on the free agent market for Kadri, but he will ultimately decide what he ends up seeing as a priority. Will he decide on a guaranteed shot at a Cup or will he take the guaranteed money?
