Connor Bedard absolutely dances a defender on just his second NHL shift
Fans in Chicago have their hopes set at an all-time high. After a few difficult years, the Blackhawks committed to a full rebuild and were rewarded by winning the Draft Lottery. Their reward for winning the lottery was generational talent, Connor Bedard.
Bedard is the most highly anticipated prospect to reach the NHL since Connor McDavid. The hopes of an entire city rest on Bedard's shoulders. While others would crumble, Bedard revels in that sort of challenge.
In his preseason debut tonight Bedard wasted absolutely no time in putting on a show. After picking up the puck in his own zone Bedard cuts through the middle before walking a defender and getting off a shot on goal.
On just his second shift Bedard showed off exactly why he's so highly touted. The young prospect is able to turn absolutely nothing into a quality chance for his team. It won't take long before Bedard is in the conversation for the Hart Trophy.
