Connor Bedard proves why he's going 1st overall, scores an incredible goal 10 seconds into the game
It is almost a guarantee that Connor Bedard will be the No. 1 pick at the 2023 NHL Draft in June. He shows another example of his abilities in the clip below.
Seconds after the puck drops to start the game. Bedard intercepts the puck in the neutral zone, dances the defenceman and goalie before depositing the puck into the back of the net.
The 17 year old, has 43 points in 20 games this season. To date so far in his WHL career he has scored 141 points in 97 games.
Currently the Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators and Arizona Coyotes have the greatest chance of landing the top pick after miserable starts to the season.
Bedard possess elite puck handling and shooting skills, combined with an outstanding hockey IQ. The BC product looks like a can't miss future franchise center when he eventually joins the league.
