Rumors have circulated all summer that the Oilers and General Manager, Ken Holland want to trade Jesse Puljujarvi. Moving JP would be the easiest way for the Oilers to clear out cap space and become cap compliant ahead of next season. According to Anthony Stewart of Sportsnet, McDavid wants Puljujarvi on the team.
Earlier this summer the Oilers signed Puljujarvi to a 1 year deal worth $3,000,000. Last season JP scored 14 goals and 36 points in 65 games. The Oilers will still be looking to clear some cap space to ensure they're cap compliant, but a strong came by Puljujarvi could to a very long way towards his success this year.
