Claude Giroux made a big jump from the Florida Panthers organization during the off-season to join a rebuilding Ottawa Senators team.
You can tell that Giroux isn't happy with the team, as he breaks his stick on the bench. Giroux contributed only 2 shots on goal during a competitive bout with the Penguins. Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle were the only contributors to the offense last night.
The current version of the Ottawa Senators was sold as "complete" with Pierre Dorion stating that the rebuild is over. If that is the case, this team can't close out a mediocre Penguins team, and it would be frustrating for someone like Giroux who is in win-now mode. It makes you wonder, even with Alex DeBrincat and Brady Tkachuk as his compliments, how long does he stay?
