The dispute which turned violent unfortunately claimed the life of the maternal grandmother of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Victor Mete.
One of the victims in the Vaughan shooting on Sunday, Vittorio Panza, was the maternal grandfather of #Leafs defenceman Victor Mete.
The #Leafs released this statement: "The Toronto Maple Leafs are shocked and saddened by the tragic shooting that took place in Vaughan this past Sunday. Our hearts go out to Victor and his family, to all the families and friends of those affected, and to the local community."
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Mete Family.
