Fan in Colorado throws garbage at Ron MacLean during live broadcast
Ron MacLean was once viewed as a popular member of the Coach's Corner duo, with long-time friend Don Cherry. That quickly changed after Sportsnet terminated Cherry's contract after a comment made during a broadcast. Over the years Cherry had stuck his neck on the line to save MacLean's job on multiple occasions and fans expected MacLean to do the same.
That's not what happened though.
MacLean willingly threw Cherry under the bus to secure his own job. Fans took notice and MacLean's popularity has dropped immensely.
Last week it was announced that MacLean's on screen career will be coming to an end after this year's post season. But at least one fan in Colorado felt the need to deliver a message to MacLean directly.
MacLean doesn't react beyond a glance at the garbage but it's clear this fan wanted to share their displeasure.
