We're just over a month away away from the NHL regular season, and the Las Vegas Golden Knights are already in a tough spot. After Thursday's announcement that Vegas goaltender Robin Lehner will miss the entire season due to his upcoming hip surgery, Vegas has been hit with another long term injury.
Patrick was once a highly touted prospect taken 2nd overall back in the 2017 NHL entry draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. Unfortunately didn't work out in Philadelphia for Patrick, due to Injuries. Patrick was traded to the Las Vegas Golden Knights hoping for a fresh start, unfortunately Injures woes continued.
Patrick missed 57 games with head injuries, upper-body injuries, COVID-19, and undisclosed injuries. In the 25 games he was able to play in, he collected just 7 points.
Patrick, 23, still has a chance to recover and rebuild his NHL career, but one has to wonder if he is considering retirement.
