Former NHL Goalie Reveals Sad Health News
Some sad news to report in the hockey world today as three-time Stanley Cup champion Andy Moog has been diagnosed with cancer.
Moog was part of the Edmonton Oilers dynasty that won three Stanley Cups in 1984, 1985, and 1987. He was a Vezina Finalist eight times in his career and won the William M. Jennings Trophy during the 1989-90 season.
The 63 year old played in 713 NHL games sporting a record of 372-209-88. He had a 3.13 GAA and .891 save percentage.
The severity of his cancer prognosis hasn't been revealed but everyone at BladeofSteel wishes Moog and his family all the best in this challenging time.
