The TSN broadcaster and on-air personality Jeff O'Neill shared that he had his truck stolen last night. In his truck though was something far more personal, and for every avid golfer, that much more important, his golf clubs. O'Neill is officially asking for whoever took his truck, to please bring his golf clubs back.
The 46 year old, was drafted 5th overall in 1994 by the Hartford Whalers. He played for three teams during his career, the Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes and the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 821 games played he scored 237 goals and 496 points. He was part of the only Stanley Cup win of the Hurricanes franchise winning the trophy during the 2001-2002 season, beating the Edmonton Oilers in seven games.
Any golfer out there knows just how frustrating this must be. While insurance will surely cover the truck, they'll never replace the hours that O'Neill has worn in on that driver or putter. Hopefully O'Neill gets lucky and get his clubs back.
