Hockey is one of the most exciting sports in the world, it's fast paced, physical and it often has a flair for the the dramatic as well. On any given night, something unexpected can happen.
Last night, one of the most exciting plays in hockey took place in the BCHL, a Junior A hockey league. During a game that saw the Surrey Eagles take on the Langley Rivermen, Eagles goaltender Michael Sochan scored an empty net goal!
This is one of those things that almost never happens, but when it does, every teammate is ecstatic. For a goalie goal to happen, there has to be a mixture of luck and skill.
Congratulations to Michael Sochan for scoring your first and most likely only goal of his hockey career. It may only be pre-season in the BCHL, but this might be a galvanizing moment for the Eagles as they head into the regular season shortly
