Goalie two hand slashes player before attacking Zach White in a wild scene
It's almost a weekly occurrence that something wild and unusual happens during an ECHL game. This week is no different. During a game between the Wheeling Nailers and Iowa Heartlanders things got extremely heated.
After giving up his 4th goal of the game Brad Barone had enough. The goaltender immediately left his crease and tried to aggressively two-hand slash Zach White, who was celebrating his team's goal. Luckily for White a teammate intervened saving him from absorbing the full impact of the blow.

Here's a closer look from a different angle:
Somehow on the play Barone only received 2 minutes for leaving his crease and 2 minutes for slashing and was allowed to remain in the game. Barone remained in the game and his team lost 4-2.
Only in the ECHL.
