Hockey Team Makes an Interesting Offer to Fans Following Embarrassing Loss
Every team, no matter how good, will suffer an embarrassing loss at some point. One hockey team is hoping to soften the blow of a bad start to the season by making a special offer to fans.
After a 7-0 loss to Dinamo Minsk yesterday to fall to 0-2-0 on the season, HC Vityaz is offering free tickets to their next game for anyone who wants them. Those who have already purchased tickets can get a full refund. Those who want tickets can get them for free by using the special code "0:7."
"Last night was extremely unfortunate for our team. But your support at the last game was good! Your emotions, your attitude and your dedication deserve more." - Statement from HC Vityaz.
Vityaz's roster includes few, if any, recognizable names. There are two Canadians playing for the team: Defenceman Jeremy Roy, who serves as an assistant captain, and forward Scott Wilson. American Derek Barach also plays for Vityaz. The team has never won the Gagarin Cup, which is the KHL's top prize.
