Insider provides a percentage on how likely Patrick Kane is likely to return to Chicago
With the trade of Alex DeBrincat and Kirby Dach to the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens respectively at the NHL Entry Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks signalled one thing, they're in a full on re-build. Not a re-tool, a full on tear down of the organization, right down to the studs. It's no surprise a franchise cornerstones synonymous with Chicago hockey history won't stick around.
According to Craig Button of TSN, sharpshooter and franchise icon Patrick Kane won't stick around for the Blackhawks re-build with the departure of Dach and DeBrincat
Honestly, who can anyone blame him? Kane has spent his entire career with the Blackhawks organization and as he ages, I'm sure he wants at least one more shot at the Stanley Cup.
Kane was a very popular target at the trade deadline drawing tons of interest from both the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers. With more teams having cap space the field could increase for his services. After picking 3 times in the first round this past weekend, Kyle Davidson could be looking to do the same again next year as he tanks for Connor Bedard.
