Insider reveals more details on the Bill Peters saga
Yesterday, it was reported that former Calgary Flames bench boss Bill Peters, who was unceremoniously let go after some controversy over racist comments would be the likely candidate for a Western Hockey League's Lethbridge Hurricanes, something that I'm sure shocked a lot of fans.
Now, Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli provides some more details on just how Bill Peters and allegations against him came to light; take a look.
Following up on Gregg's report that is potentially next head coach in WHL Lethbridge.
Checked in with Akim Aliu, who said Peters has still not apologized - 13 years after the incident, and nearly 4 years after it became public and cost him his NHL head coaching job.
Among other things when allegations are brought forward and founded, the least someone should be able to do is apologize for their misconduct. The fact that Peters didn't apologize when it happened is reprehensible, but to not say a word when the incident came to light is another thing entirely.
This is not a person that should be coaching at any level, much less a junior level around kids. He should be able to apologize for his actions like an adult. Having Bill Peters in a position of power, especially when young players are involved is wrong.
