Pierre-Luc Dubois is a restricted free agent and according to Jeff Marek of Sportsnet, contract talks with the Jets aren't happening at this time.
There can be a couple scenarios possible with PLD. He could re-sign with the Jet, be part of a sign and trade, or he could target of the dreaded offer sheet this summer. In the past 2 off-seasons we've seen the latter move happening.
The Montreal Canadiens could be the perfect landing spot for PLD as he's a big center man and French Canadian. When Dubois was dealt from Columbus to Winnipeg, it was rumoured Montreal was heavily involved.
If the Jets enter a full rebuild like some expect, Dubois could just be one of many important pieces leaving Winnipeg for a massive return.
