The New York Islanders have been revitalized by Lane Lambert behind the bench, with an 11-6 record in the Metropolitan Division. Even then as a 2nd place team, since John Tavares left it seems they have a permanently scarred fan base.

Not only did Lou Lamoriello fumble signing Nazem Kadri, but he fumbled signing Johnny Gaudreau as well. The results are hilarious as the fans booed Johnny Gaudreau during the entire game versus the Columbus Blue Jackets on November 12th:

"I was talking to my coach after the third shift, and I was like, 'I don't get it,"" Gaudreau said. "I didn't talk to [the Islanders] once throughout the whole free agency."

Lou Lamoriello was quiet during free agency as he held his hands and signed the Islanders' free agents and did nothing else after hiring Lane Lambert in the off-season.

The question is, when are Islanders fans happy? Maybe if you had a better GM you'd have something to show for, other than Alexander Romanov and Aatu Raty.
