Juraj Slafkovsky facing possible suspension after dangerous boarding penalty
It hasn't even been 72 hours since Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson was suspended for boarding. Now it appears that top pick Juraj Slafkovsky has been a very quick study has been a very quick study as the rookie delivered a dangerous hit of his own Tuesday night.
Late in the 3rd period as Matt Luff tried to play the puck on front of the Montreal bench, Slafkovsky closes the gap and delivers the hit directly to the numbers. The hit sends Luff face first directly into the boards. Luff was slow to get up and would leave the game.
Luff would not return to the game and Slafkovsky would be given a 5 minute major and a game misconduct. The Canadiens would kill the penalty and eventually win the game in a shootout. But it's likely Slafkovsky will be hearing from George Parros today.
