The Philadelphia Flyers are hosting the Los Angeles kings tonight and the Flyers opened the scoring while the Kings defence just fell apart.
Flyers forward Owen Tipped somehow managed to make it through the LA defence even though they appeared to be in good shape, Tippet then makes the pass to James van Riemsdyk who finishes off the 2 on 1 giving Philadelphia the 1-0 lead, take a look:
How Tippet was able to make it through the Kinds defence is beyond me, somehow, he's able to walk through two players and maintain possession of the puck to make this goal happen.
Nobody in the National Hockey League wants to take the body anymore and that is the reason goals like this happen.
Sometimes, I wish playing the man and not the puck first would make a comeback.
Los Angeles has responded however as the teams have exchanged a couple of goals and it's 2-2 at the end the first period.
