Leon Draisaitl has had enough of fans throwing jerseys on the ice, finally throws one back
If there is any fan base in the NHL where throwing a jersey on the ice isn't warranted it's the Pittsburgh Penguins. With 3 Stanley Cups in the last 20 years the franchise has been the epitome of what all teams want to be. The team has also been blessed with elite talent like Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and Marc-Andre Fleury over the years.
That's why it was such a surprise when a Penguins fan decided to toss his jersey onto the ice. Heading into last night's game the Penguins were 4-0-1, before losing 6-3 to the Oilers. For one Penguins fan that loss was too much to handle and he reacted by throwing his jersey onto the ice.
It's clear that Leon Draisaitl wasn't having that sort of behavior because the forward quickly scoops up the jersey and fires it back into the crowd. Fans across the league seem to have become emboldened with their ability to throw their jerseys onto the ice.
