Last night the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars met in Dallas for Game 6 of this very entertaining Western Conference Quarterfinals series. This series has been physical since Game 1 and last night was no different.

Less than five minutes into the second period Flames' defenceman Nikita Zadorov would deliver a violent check to Luke Glendening. The check sent Glendening awkwardly to the ice and he needed to be helped to the locker room. The Stars were immediately upset and that only grew worse after the Stars saw the replay. On the replay it can clearly be seen that Zadorov drives his elbow directly into Glendening's chin.

Glendening was forced to leave the game and according to Stars' Head Coach, Rick Bowness, Glendening was forced to undergo concussion testing in the quiet room. Glendening would only receive about 4-minutes of ice time before having his night ended.
After the game, Rick Bowness called the hit, "reckless and dangerous" while also adding he was "unsure if Glendening would be available for Game 7."
The Stars would go on to win the game 4-2, forcing a Game 7 on Sunday. The question now heading into a Game 7, is will there be any supplemental discipline by the NHL Department of Player Safety given to Zadorov.
