The Toronto Maple Leafs goaltending has always eluded them since the days of Curtis Joseph. Seems like whoever they bring in ends up being a dud or eventually pricing themselves out of Toronto. Kyle Dubas needs to address the issue and fast. It seems to be the only major piece missing to be able to push past the first round of playoffs.
According to Chris Johnston of TSN, the Maple Leafs may have found their next goalie target.
Matt Murray has 2 years left on his current contract with an AAV of 6.25M. The interesting thing is that he has a modified no trade clause with a list of 10 teams he doesn't want to go to. The question that remains, are the Maple Leafs on that list?
