Matthews taunts the Bruins crowd after the 3rd period goal
The Toronto Maple Leafs faced off against the Boston Bruins yesterday in Boston. This was widely regarded as a measuring stick games for the Leafs and while they played well for stretches, it didn't go the way they'd hoped.
In the third period, Leafs star Auston Matthews scored a beautiful goal to tie the game up at 3. It's what happens afterwords that doesn't make any sense, take a look:
The goal itself was something else, taunting the crowd after it however, is not the way to go. You're in a tie game, the last thing you want is to give the other team motivation.
Matthews and the Leafs got what was coming to them when Matt Grzelcyk scored with under 2 minutes to play to seal the victory.
You'd think after losing so much, the Leafs and their players would change the way they react after a goal, but I don't think they'll ever learn.
