Max Pacioretty appears to rupture his Achilles tendon again
Max Pacioretty fought hard to make a full recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered this summer. Unfortunately for Pacioretty it appears that he has suffered the same injury once again.
Late in the 3rd period with the Hurricanes on the powerplay, Pacioretty makes a simple move and he immediately pulls up. Patches reaches back and immediately grabs the back of his leg. Pacioretty then falls to the ice and needs assistance getting to the locker room.
After being taken to the bench Pacioretty had to be carried to the locker room unable to put any weight on his leg.
Hopefully for Pacioretty the injury isn't as bad as it seems, but as is the case with most non-contact injuries, this doesn't look good.
