Montreal Canadiens have turned down serious offers for one of their best players
According to Pierre LeBrun, Kent Hughes was busy during the trade deadline in March fielding offers for Josh Anderson.
The Power-Forward who has capabilities of taking over zones, fighting for his teammates, and scoring, is still highly sought after even. With the offensive threats Montreal has, I don't imagine Hughes and Gorton moving on from him, but according to LeBrun, "never say never".
With Anderson's skill set, as a healthy forward is a 20-goal scorer and can hold his own against guys like Tom Wilson and Ryan Reaves.
As it stands he has a high value in the market because while the game is transitioning to a fast-paced, more skilled style, he can do both and it makes him valuable in the regular and post-season when campaigns get gritty.
With Martin St. Louis as Head Coach now, I can see his game and style improving, as they most likely have chemistry from his time in Columbus, as a power-play coach.
Let's just hope he continues his next season, trending with no injuries, something his career is all-too-familiar with.
