Bottom line is, it sounds like there are many more to come. An agent representing several top-level talents in the NHL says many more are planning on following Travis Dermott's lead and defying the NHL's new rules on pride tape.

"Hearing many more NHL players are planning to challenge Gary Bettman's pride tape ban in the coming days. The first was last night. The symbolism of Pride Tape is 'Everyone is welcome.'" - Alan Walsh

Meanwhile, it seems like the NHL wasn't expecting this to happen. The league told reporters last night that it would look into the situation, but no punishment has been handed out and it's not clear whether one is coming.

The NHL banned jerseys and sweaters representing any cause from being used during warmups and games in an attempt to rid itself of backlash that was coming from a handful of players. Meanwhile, Walsh represents close to $175 million in NHL contracts, and boasts names like Jonathan Huberdeau, David Perron, Filip Hronek, and Marc-Andre Fleury.
