The Calgary Flames were visiting the SAP Center in San Jose on Sunday night. It was a chippy affair, with the end result being a 5-2 win for Calgary.

At the start of the third period off the faceoff, Flames forward Elias Lindholm crosschecks Sharks' forward Tomas Hertl twice, Hertl gets upset and lands a ruthless high stick to Lindholm's face resulting in a two minute penalty for Hertl. With Hertl in the box Lindholm scored his 10th of the season on the powerplay.
The Department of Player Safety announced that San Jose's Tomas Hertl will have a hearing today for High-sticking Lindholm.
Hertl has 11 goals and 21 assists in 33 games this season.
Lindholm has 11 goals and 18 assists in 31 games this season.
I feel there's a high probability that Hertl is fined for his action's on Sunday but I don't feel it will be worthy of a suspension.
