NHL Department of Player Safety announces multi-game suspension to Red Wings forward
Last night's game between the Boston Bruins and the Detroit Red Wings was a pretty one sided affair. While down 1-0, Detroit Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen was playing with some determination in his step. Finishing checks and skating hard, unfortunately on one of those checks he let his stick get away from him.
At 12:00 into the second period, Rasmussen went for a routine hit on Bruin's forward David Krejci and he appears to deliberately hit him in the head with his stick.

The Head of Department of Player Safety, George Parros, has suspended Rasmussen for 2 games due to the actions. As George Parros mentioned in his explanation video, Rasmussen is responsible for his stick and showed that he used force on the play.
