NHL Insider believes Shane Wright has been offered as part of a trade package
There are many proposals out currently right now, as there are up to 6 teams right now trying to make moves right now to acquire Bo Horvat.
Are the Seattle Kraken seriously in on moving their last 1st round pick in 2022?
With John Buccigross posting this on Twitter suggesting that Shane Wright is currently in the OHL, maybe in the Bo Horvat sweepstakes.
It has been confirmed by Rick Dhaliwal as well that the Seattle Kraken is in the running for the Bo Horvat sweepstakes. The price might be steep for the current Canucks Captain, but with Jim Rutherford's failure to extend the Centerman having a career year in points, I imagine a fresh start for both Wright and Horvat may not be a bad thing. But this does suggest that Ron Francis may think the Kraken's window is opening is it not?
The Seattle Kraken may have enough assets to pick up Horvat, but will they be able to retain him? As of right now, Francis has the team up against the Salary Cap, but if he could use the trade to dump some cap, along with Wright, this may be feasible in the long-run.
