NHL Insider believes that Tarasenko is set to bet on himself
It's ten days into National Hockey League free agency and Vladimir Tarasenko who some believed was a big fish this summer remains unsigned despite interest from multiple teams including the Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators.
While this has puzzled quite a few people, Insider Elliotte Friedman believes that Tarasenko will more than likely take a one-year deal and bet on himself as the cap is reportedly set to rise exponentially next season.
It takes guts to do what Tarasenko could potentially do by betting on himself, however nobody knows Vladimir Tarasenko and what he's capable of except the player himself. The 31-year-old who split time between the St Louis Blues and New York Rangers last season finished with 18 goals and 32 assists in 69 games combined.
It will be interesting to see what happens In the days ahead as teams continue to jockey for players who fill their needs and could potentially take them to the top.
