Nazem Kadri set to make history when he gets his day with the Cup
The Colorado Avalanche are on top of the hockey world, as the Stanley Cup continues its summer tour with the players, it looks like centre Nazem Kadri is about to make history as his day with the cup approaches.
According to Avs reporter for Mile High Sports, Aarif Deen, Kadri will be the first player ever to take the Stanley Cup inside a mosque when his day with the cup begins on august 27th at noon.
Kadri is proud of his Muslim heritage and this will be a really cool moment that he'll be able to celebrate with the community he grew up in. All the contract talks and decisions to me made can wait. This historic moment deserves its own spotlight.
