New York Rangers lose forward on waivers to a Stanley Cup contender
Yesterday it was announced that the New York Rangers had placed 26-year-old forward Dryden Hunt on waivers. The Rangers were hoping to send the forward to the AHL. The Colorado Avalanche had other ideas though.
Today it was announced that the Colorado Avalanche claimed Hunt off of waivers. Elliotte Friedman broke the news earlier this afternoon.
In 3 games this season Hunt has 1 goal and no assists. The Avalanche will be Hunt's 4th team in his 6 season NHL career. He has 41 points in 168 games.
